The friends and aquaintances of the family are requested to attend his funeral,
onthis Saturday morning, at ten o'clock, from his late residence, Camden street,
without further notice.
WILLIAMS - On the 3d instant, at Fort McHenry, Musician HENRY WILLIAMS,
of Light Company A, Second Artillery. He went out to Corpus Christi with
Duncan's Battery, in 1845, and served in it throughout the entire war. He was
engaged in the battle of Palo Alto and ???esca -de la Palma;the sieges of
Monterey and Vera Cruz; the battles of Cerro Gerdo, San Antonio and Churubusee?
; the storming of Chapultepec and the Garra of San Cosmo. For his good conduct
and gallantry in these activities, he received the higherest reward a soldier
can receive, a "Certificate of Merit" from the President of the United
States.
MCCLELLAND - On the 2d instant, at Canton, LAURA EUGENIA McCLELLAND, aged
3 years, 3 months and 17 days, daughter of William H. and Mary Jane McClelland.
MYERS - On the evening of the 1st instant, Dr. LOUIS S. MYERS, after a
protracted and severe illness, which he bore with christian fortitude and
resignation. Requiesent in peace.
BROWNING - On the 28th ultimo., JOHN W. BROWNING, aged 33 years.
DAVIS - At Ellicott's Mills, on Monday last, at HIlton, REESE W. DAVIS in
the 22d year of his age, son of William and Caroline Davis.
HUNTER - At Wrightsville, Pa., on the morning of the 28th ultimo, LAVINIA
EMILY, aged 34 years and 3 days, consort of William Hunter, and formerly of this
city.
LAWRENSON - At sea, on the morning of Wednesday, the 23d of June, after
several days' illness, JOHN WESLEY WRENSON, in the 43d year of his age. His body
was committed to the deep blue sea in latitude 34 40 S., longitured 27 08 E -
north of Algon bar, Cape of Good Hope. Mr Lawrenson, at the time of his decease,
was the chief officer of the barque Inca?; he was one of God's noblest works, an
honest man, and as a navigator had few ???ors. His end was peaceful.
